Who we are

We’re a non-profit association run by members, for members. Our community is made up of people from all walks of life — locals, expats, families, singles, professionals, students, and retirees. What unites us? A shared passion for meeting people, discovering cultures and making life in Le Havre welcoming and exciting for everyone.

Who can join LH Connections?

Anyone! Whether you’re an expat, from another part of France, a local curious about meeting international people, or an English speaker looking to connect with other Anglophones or Francophones, you’re welcome. Singles, families, students, and professionals all find their place here.

How do I become a member?

Simply fill in our online form, pay your annual fee and you’re in! Membership is quick and easy, find out more here.

How much does membership cost?

Not much at all – our fees are affordable because we want to stay accessible to everyone.

Annual subscription fee per family is only €20!

Are events only for native English and French speakers?

No. While many of our members are either native French or English speakers, we’re open to everyone. However, our events and communication is usually in English or French so it helps that you can speak a little of one of the languages.

Do you offer English or French lessons?

No, we’re not a language school but you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice naturally at our meetups with both locals and international members. Joining our association is a great chance to practice English or French in a friendly, informal way.

Do you organise events in Le Havre for families?

Yes! We have family-friendly clubs and activities and organise child-friendly meetups.

Do I need to be a member to attend your events?
